Types Of Facials In Hells Kitchen Popular With Women

By Olive Pate

There is nothing better than a nice, relaxing, hour-long treatment for dull, lifeless, and aging skin. Facials in Hells Kitchen have long been the remedy of choice for celebrities and those concerned about exterior beauty. There are several types designed for specific types of skin. Choose your favorite.

A regular treatment consists of a routine of cleansing, steaming (to open pores), and exfoliating the skin after which a mask is applied to impart moisture. Going often will keep normal skin in optimal, hydrated condition. It is usually the lowest in cost of the various types unless you combine two or more procedures.

Those with oily acne-prone skin need to go a different route. Teens and young adults find that deep cleansing of clogged pores is in order to reduce the incidence of the dreaded ailment. Special masks draw oil from the skin to discourage the appearance of unsightly acne. Salicylic and glycolic acids are particularly effective if recommended by a dermatologist.

Electric Current: not as scary as it sounds, this type is often included in hour-long treatments. A gentle micro-current stimulates the skin: increased circulation will bring a glow to the face in a short period of time. The currents emitted also lift muscles and therefore tighten the face. People call it the non-surgical facelift.

You may have heard of the fruit facial which consists of enzymes and antioxidants that work wonders on darkened and spotted skin. Vitamin C is the benefactor found in fruit pulp that reverses the aging process. Who doesn't want glowing radiance! You can do this one at home with a blender. While you are in the kitchen, you can also melt paraffin wax to apply to dehydrated skin and open pores for deep cleansing. With additives, the special wax moisturizes the face (and hands and feet as well).

Fruit Facial: a common alternative uses the enzymes and antioxidants found in fresh fruit to rejuvenate the skin. It is cost-effective if you make it yourself and it has no side effects. It is natural and organic. Vitamin C is known to be a boon to the skin and imparts a glowing radiance. Dark spots and fine lines disappear. Also done at home is the paraffin facial using a special wax. Dull and dehydrated skin loves to soak in it. Warm wax, whose temperature should be strictly controlled to avoid burns, cools and opens pores, allowing them to be cleansed. The result is deep moisturizing and a plumped appearance. Try it on hands and feet for a wonderful added experience.

Antioxidant: this is a popular word nowadays denoting health and healing. Chemicals can be used to fight sun and pollution damage that have destroyed delicate facial skin. They can even tone, clear the complexation, and make it shine. Some of the creams contain vitamin A, C, and E. You can also use beta carotene as an additive. All these ingredients cleanse the pores and rid them of impurities. Mature and aging skin get the most benefit.

Skin treatments are not just for the aging. They are prophylactic in the sense that they save skin from the consequences of the environment and especially sun and wind. Done once or twice a month, they keep the face bright and luminous for all to see. All you need is to select your favorite option or rotate them for variety. You will be graced with a new countenance that speaks of care and pampering.
