Why We Age - The Ins And Outs Of Why We Age

By Alice Sandylands

The thought of growing old and full of wrinkles accompanied by sickness is something that scares all of us. However, the big question is: Why do we age? Oxidative stress is one of the major causes of aging. This occurs as a result of damage to your DNA, lipids, and proteins as a result of oxidants. The oxidants are produced as we breathe, although they can also be produced when inflammation or infection occurs. Consumption of cigarettes and alcohol are also contribute to production of oxidants as well.

Glycation is yet another factor that causes aging. When glucose bonds with proteins, DNA, and lipids, they tend to become less functional and the problem worsens as we grow older thereby causing a malfunction of body tissues. Over time, the glycation becomes worse and causes people to age.

B viatmins like niagen and Niacin have been found to actualy slow down and in some cases actually reverse the signs and process of aging. There is a wonderful article I will include below but it's absolutely fantastic as what the studies have show it to be able to do. These B vitamins injested via supplement or via food which is unfortunately really hard to get only really found in milk but at such a low level you kinda need the supplement... It will help revatilise the cells and pump the levels of NAD in the cells to a healthy level and studies show that it can actually reverse the signs of aging! Which is kinda crazy! We are living in a pretty crazy time of scientific breakthroughs!

Over time you are more likely to grow old and frail and this is just part of the aging process. However, taking Vitamin B can strengthen your muscles. It also has the capability to reverse muscle wastage. A sufficient intake of Vitamin B also increases metabolism.

Not just physical issues like muscles weakening but phycolological and emotional issues as well like forgetting things feeling all muddled up in the head and often leaving you feel dizzy can often be contributed to the fact that you have depleted levels of NAD. Which is normal as we get older this is what happens our NAD or vitamin b intake and the use of it needs to be a lot more so we need a supplement or try eating foods that help boost these levels back up!
