How To Take Good Care Of Your Hair Extensions

By Nancy Gardner

Girls love changing their hairstyles. From short ones to bob to long hair, girls love them all as long as they look good in their choice of style. However, changing from short locks to long ones can take some time. Some girls get impatient with that. As such, the best option they can take advantage of would be the use of hair extensions in Miami.

For those who are looking forward to have the extension, taking good care of it is imperative. Remember that you are required to pay a hefty sum just to get these added locks. Due to the fact that it costs a lot, a person should ensure that these locks remain in good condition for a long time. Here are the tips to remember when having the extension.

First, always brush the extended locks. This is for maintaining the added strands on your hair. This is the same as with your teeth, that you are required to brush each morning. Make sure to pick the right brush to use for that. There are soft bristle brush and other brushing tool that are perfect for detangling your hair without causing damages.

Wash them as carefully as possible. For the clip-ins, they do not really get that dirty as often as the natural hairs do. However, that does not mean that you do not have to wash them. Washing the added locks can be really crucial for the maintenance of your extension. Detangle them, use a good shampoo, and do it gently and slowly.

Conditioning is required as well. There are nice, nourishing leave-on conditioners available in the market nowadays that are perfect for your extension maintenance routine. The said conditioner could be sprayed on or applied by hand. Make sure to do it with a downward motion. For tangles, brush them out carefully.

Remember to dry the locks naturally. Even if you got to go through a lot of troubles just to dry the strands in the natural way, you need to do it, especially with the non-removable strands. This just means to say that you got to avoid heat tools. These are tools that produce excessive heat, which can be detrimental to your added strands.

When you are tight on time and you need your crown to dry immediately, you still have to remember that heat is bad for your strands. That is why, when you are blow drying the hair, you must do it as carefully as you can. Pick a low-heat setting when drying your bonds. Doing that causes less stress to the area.

Better remember some storage tips for the said locks as well. There are cases when you will not need to wear the quick weaves, clip-ins, and wigs. Thus, you better remember to store them away with great love. Clean them and condition them before storing them away. Remember to dry them up and detangle them right after before storing inside airtight containers.

Buy a quality swimming cap. This is a necessity when it comes to caring for the locks, especially during the summer when going to the pool. If you adopt a cap-wearing habit, you can prevent chlorine and salt from damaging your strands.
